Ten Baby Blankets

My favorite baby gift is still a quilted flannel blanket.  I have made ten recently and still have more to make.  Good thing I have a large baby flannel stash.

The first two sets (two of each) were quilted on the Bernina Q24 and have a separate binding.

The next three sets all used batting leftovers that were zig-zagged together.  They were sewn together using this method.  I quilted them on my Tiara.

These might not be as fun to see, but they were fun to make.

    1. Thanks, Sharon! Many of the moms I give them to tell me that it is their favorite tummy time/floor time blanket. I make them 40 x 52 inches.

  5. I just made about 15 double flannel blankets, without the batting. They are fun to make and to give. I make mine about 42 x 45 and they will last up thru the toddler years in terms of size.

  7. I have made these with flannel 2 yds x WOF for gifts for older kids. We have one here that has aged well and is so comfortable summer and winter.
