Raspberry Chocolates

This quilt took me a long time to make (about four months start to finish) because I had to keep setting it aside to finish other projects.  I am happy to say that it is now finished.  It is a disappearing nine patch made with five inch squares.  But once I cut the blocks into fourths I squared them up at 6.5 inches so the quilt would finish at 60 by 72 inches.

I quilted it on the Bernina Q24 in a really cute heart and spiral design.

I barely had enough fabric to line up the repeats on the back.  I'm tickled with how well it turned out.  Can you see the seam?

Hint:  It is towards the bottom of the picture above.

I named the quilt Raspberry Chocolates because of the cute pink and brown polka dots in the blocks and used for the binding.

I love how it turned out.

It is hanging out on my quilt ladder for now.

  1. Love it! I have some of that backing fabric waiting for me to use. It's in a box with other pinks waiting for me to pick a pattern. I really like the quilting you did on yours.

  3. What a very sweet finish (and the name is perfection to add to that as well)! I really love the heart quilting.

  6. Hearts are my favorite symbol. I'm crazy about the colors you used. I never tire of either. That is a very pretty quilt with nice quilting. Both sides are great, too.

  9. LOVE how this D9P turned out!! I recently finish one from men's neckties. Mine looks like a traditional square with sashing and cornerstones. I'm going to study your block placement to see if I can figure out how yours went together. It's SEW pretty!!

  10. I bet you don't get to enjoy a lot of pink in your house. It really turned out great. So glad you have it out so you can enjoy it!
