February Goals

My February goal for A lovely Year of Finishes is to make something with my red fabric... especially my collection of red strings.  I am thinking about a stacked coins quilt.

I chose a color of fabric which I don't have as much of, because February always seems to go by so much faster than January.  I know it is only 3 days shorter, but you know what I mean.

I feel like I got a head start on the reds, because I made these blue and red quilts at the end of January.

The large one especially used up a lot of red.  Check out this pieced backing!

I used about 5 yards of red fabric for these quilts.

Then the rest of the month I will continue to make things with my stash.  It is so much fun making something useful with fabric that has been in my closet for nearly 9 years.

Jasmine

  3. Awesome quilts! Good luck with your red coin quilt this month. I have been using scraps lately, and it does feel great to use up fabric already in the stash.
