New Portable Project
I love having a hand sewing portable project, but I like fast finishes. It seems like an oxymoron to me. ;) I realized that if I had smaller projects that didn't take long it would be the best of both worlds. My solution was to crochet washcloths. I have found that they are addicting and make great gifts.
I believe I have made more than sixty in three months. I'm sure that number will continue to grow. I think I may give them for neighbor gifts this Christmas.

These are so cute! Have you ever made crocheted hot pads? They're great too. I use them all the time on my table.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I have been knitting some and would love to crochet some also. Do you mind sharing your pattern?
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot to have made in just 3 months; it sounds like you found the perfect small and enjoyable hand project.
ReplyDeleteBoy that reminds me I need to get in gear and knit a ton on my knitting machine! I didn't know you knew how to crochet. I love making baby booties in the winter months.
ReplyDeleteFor years I never understood the appeal of crocheted or knitted dish cloths. At my sister's request I made several for her. then decided I should use one just to see why she liked them so much. Oh my gosh! I have since made several for myself and best friend - they are fantastic to use. Have fun with your hand projects. I love having small projects like these to work on.
